Welcome to the 5th Annual Liberty Scholarship Pageant. This pageant is held in memory of Christopher M. Dickerson. Chris was a Navy Equipment Operator 3rd Class. He was assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 14, based in Jacksonville, Fla. Chris was killed on  April 30 when his military vehicle hit an improvised explosive device while traveling in a convoy in Anbar province, Iraq. His daughter Skylar  decided that she would like to hold a pageant and give a Scholarship in the memory of her father. Skylar has competed in pageants all her life and yes she loved when her father would come see her compete.  Eventhough I direct the pageant and have directed the pageant for the past four years this is still Skylar's Pageant. When we come up with the name Liberty we knew it was for our country and the Liberty we have in the USA. This pageant holds a special place in Skylar's heart and she looks forward to it every year.
The pageant has grown over the past years and we have been very fortunate to always have a great turnout. We look forward to seeing you on Saturday, November 10, 2007 at the Magnolia Theatre in Eastman, Ga. 31023.

Thank you,
Pam
